Rangers are seriously short of RD. Can there be someone to trade them a RD to help them out or do they bring back ADA..

We are not giving up Hronek!!! (maybe for ADA and Zib)

NYR have significant help on the way from inside the organization. On the left side more than the right, for sure. But, their only true need of the moment is at center.
Care to talk Larkin instead? We’ll give you ADA, Strome a 1st and a 2nd.

Listen, Blackwell and Rooney are both playing GREAT, but why the frank will this coach not give Gauthier a chance to play more than 8 minutes a night? Put him on a line with Kreider on the opposite wing, two big bodies that can drive the net and make things happen. It’s absurd at this point imo.

I'd say the biggest reasons are that Kakko is playing great and Bush WAS playing great, so they garnered the bulk of the minutes on the right. But, I am right there with you on believing this needs to change, as soon as possible!
Gaut obviously was not performing up to standards away from the puck, seeing as he was recently scratched. But, he has tremendous upside, so I hope they work with him to see an increase in reliability and therefore icetime.

Good news, boys.
I decided enough is enough and changed my work computer password away from having anything to do with Lafreniere. So, he should come out tonight and put up his first multi-point game!!

Would be nice if we could see Howden scratched and hopefully JJ doesn't see the ice in a game unless another D man goes down but as mentioned Gauthier needs to get more of a chance to play. There are plenty of forwards playing worse, might not be a bad idea to give Zib a chance to watch from the press box if that's what it takes to keep Gauthier in the line up. At this point I'd much rather see what the kids got and maybe that let's the top 6 know that anyone can be sat if they don't start to play to potential. I know some people like to do projections here, Zib is on pace for 4 goals, 8 assists and 12 points in a 56 game season while being -20.

I'll never wrap my head around the idea of scratching Zib. Is he playing poorly? Yeah, obviously. But what does scratching him accomplish, especially for a team with absolutely no C depth? Move him to the third line, sure. But scratching him does not help him put the puck in the net.

well this guy wanted to scratch Howden, and I don't know what that does, other than gives Zib even more minutes

Other players were scratched this season for playing poorly. I am not sure why we're going to make an exception for Zib. Obviously not going to scratch them both at the same time but maybe call up Barron and give him a shot to play, move some other guys up the line up, move Zib down with Howden scratch, or leave Howden 4th line Barron 3rd, leave Strome 2nd and maybe give Rooney a chance at 1st line for a game. I mean clearly what we've been doing all year isn't working but heaven forbid we make changes.

Don’t love dressing 5 LH defensemen tonight. Potential for a lot of ugly backhanded breakout passes. Curious if Carrick gets claimed? Know he’s nothing special but at least a RHD.

As much as I dislike Howden, he actually wasn't too bad last game. I wouldn't bench Zib, but would probably lower his minutes. That goes for the whole 1st line though.
